Grandma's Apple Cider

INGREDIENTS

1 Bottle of Valley Breeze Apple Juice (1.9L)
1/2 tsp (2ml) whole cloves
3 cinnamon sticks, 4-inch (10 cm) each
3 star anise (optional)
1 long strip orange peel

DIRECTIONS

Combine Valley Breeze* apple juice, cloves, cinnamon sticks, star anise (if using) and the orange peel into a large saucepan. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Keep warm over low heat.

If using a slow cooker, combine all ingredients in the pot and for two hours in high heat. Once cider is boiling, turn pot to low, so cider stays warm throughout your fun gatherings.

If desired you can use orange peel and cinnamon sticks to garnish.

*Valley Breeze apple juice is purely made with 100% Okanagan apple juice.
