It was all fun and games as the community of Abbotsford gathered together at South Fraser Gate for Kin’s Farm Market’s Grand Opening on February 21.

This fun-filled family event was organized by Kin’s in collaboration with Shopper’s Drug Mart, Gogo Beans and Avia West. Together they fundraised for the Abbotsford Community Schools. Much to the delight of the kids in the area, the event featured a bouncy castle, oversized game boards of Snakes & Ladders and Chess, and Arts and Crafts.

The grown-ups, on the other hand, enjoyed playing Spin-the-Wheel and winning all sorts of great prizes from Kin’s Farm Market, Shopper’s Drug Mart, Gogo Beans, and Avia West.

Avia West in particular, held a lucky draw for a 3-day, 2-night trip to Vancouver Island for free. And if all that wasn’t terrific enough, the community at Abbotsford was treated to a lunch by donation (hotdogs, salads, cupcakes etc...) while being serenaded by Bill Reimer’s southern crooning.

The event raised $700 and with Kin's matching the amount, a total of $1400 was donated to the Abbotsford Community Schools. “The Central Abbotsford Community School is very excited to receive this donation. This fundraiser was definitely a great success and we look forward to future partnerships.” Adds Becky Webster, Abbotsford Community School Special Events Coordinator.

Kin's would like to thank the Abbotsford Community for its warm welcome and we look forward to serving your community!
