School is almost back in session so what are your kids going to bring to school? Packed junk food can surely be easy and convenient, but so can packing nutritious foods too!
A healthy snack can give your energetic kids that extra boost in order to become more productive! Without adequate energy from food, kids may feel sluggish and find it difficult to concentrate on their tasks.
So what makes a healthy snack? A healthy snack should include at least two of the four food groups: Vegetables & Fruits, Meat, Grains and Dairy. For example, try cutting up fresh mixed up fruit or veggies and pack them into individual containers. (Remember to squeeze some lemon juice on the fruits to retain their sweetness.)
