The School Nutrition Program is a collaborative effort between Kin’s Farm Market and COBS BREAD where a Nutrition representative will visit each school and talk to the children about healthy eating habits. These presentations will take place all over the Lower Mainland, from North Vancouver all the way down to Chilliwack.
Together with its show-and-tell activities and tasty fruit snacks, the program is able to bring factual lessons to life in a way that is memorable for both minds and stomachs alike. After each presentation, an activity book is given to every child as a reminder to eat healthy foods in the classroom and at home. The activity book, entitled My Personal Best, is filled with fun word games, cross-word puzzles, and mouth-watering recipes that are meant to be shared between both parent and child.
And to add to the fun, Kin's and COBS are proud to announce the latest addition to the Nutrition team, Olympic Athlete, Alexa Loo. Together with Farmer Kin and Bread Head, the Kin's & COBS Nutrition Team sets out to teach children how to stay fit, eat well and stay healthy.
“Alexa is a perfect fit for the School Nutrition Program. She eats healthy, trains hard and simply never gives up. Together with Farmer Kin and Bread Head, Alexa will set off to help kids learn the importance of never giving up in attaining their dreams.” Said Vivian Cheung, Kin's Marketing Associate.
