A Healthier Easter

Many families enjoy the Easter tradition by doing an Easter Egg Hunt. Children wake up in the morning to find the Easter Bunny has hidden treats around the house – mostly chocolates and candies. While most kids would be disappointed to find no candy, it might be a good idea to include some healthier items along with the treats. Here are a few ideas on how to make this Easter a little healthier and still keep the kids excited!

Hide these snacks in colourful containers:

- baby carrots
- strawberries
- grapes
- full kiwi fruit
- small oranges or baby mandarins
- apple slices

You can substitute the above items with your kids' favourite fruits and veggies!

Make a treasure hunt with fruits and veggies as clues that lead to a bigger prize! Here are some ideas of bigger prizes:

- Toys
- Colouring books and crayons
- Clothing or accessories
- Sports-related equipment
